At the
June 2005 General Membership Meeting held in San Diego California it was
discussed and voted upon by the membership present that due to the ever rising
cost of printing services, paper, postage and supplies needed to print and mail
hard copies of the Second Battalion, 4th Marines Association, Inc. official
newsletter Sea
Horse
.... there will be an annual charge of
$10.00 to any and all members that desire to receive Sea Horse in this manor.
This is effective with the first issue of 2006. If you want a printed version, sign up now by sending your $10.00 in the form of a check, cash (not recommended) or money order to the treasurer. Make sure you identify (in the memo section) that the funds are for a printed/mailed copy of Sea Horse otherwise we will not know what it is for and you will not receive the newsletter by mail.
Send this to:.

The electronic version of
Sea
Horse
is the same as the mailed version (the printer uses the .PDF file to print it
from).
The Association maintains an archive
of all of the back editions of the
Sea
Horse
from when we started posting them
electronically in 2002. To download the
electronic version all that is needed is a FREE
program download from Adobe Acrobat Reader that is available at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions.html.
It's a large file and may take several minutes to download on a dialup internet
connection but just seconds with broadband. No matter what, it's well
worth the wait as the .PDF format is used in more and more each day. Adobe
allows you to save the document in it's exact format
and print a copy as well. For those of you that
cannot download the program, contact me at this
email address and for
the cost of the shipping I'll mail you a CD. If you print the .PDF version
it will take 12 single sided or 6 double sided sheets of standard letter paper.
Also available on the website is an HTML version that can also be saved to your hard drive or printed but be forewarned, printing takes 33 sheets of paper and it does not look anything like the .PDF version.
REMEMBER
This is effective with the first issue in 2006...act now if you want this added to your membership.
