Greeting to Marines and their Ladies,
On Saturday, June 21, 2003 about twenty of us met for dinner at the JW
Steak House at the Key Bridge Marriott in Roslynn. Present were
Major
General Jim Livingston, his wife Sara, his daughter Missy, husband Tom and
his parents, his daughter Kim with her husband's parents. Tom, her
husband, was working and couldn't make it. Also attending was
General
Weise, Fritz and Barb Warren, Dave and Ann Jones, Lon and Sue Lawson, Ken
and Roz Johnson and myself with Jeanette. Jeanette is a Foreign Service
Officer for State and said she felt at home being around Marines. She said
she learnt to appreciate Marines in her many travels for the State
Department. She is amazed at the camaraderie that the Marines have.
We met between 6 pm and 6:30 pm for cocktails. Then dinner at 7. We
all
enjoyed dinner and told some old war stories like all Vietnam Vets. It was
like family for all.
